Liz Jarvis MP backs tax cut plan worth hundreds per year

Ms Jarvis said: "Walking round areas like Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh town and West End, I hear the same story again and again: people working hard, doing everything right and still feeling like they are going backwards financially.

"This tax cut delivers a real financial boost to workers in Eastleigh, with them being £680 a year better off and thousands of the lowest earners in the constituency taken out of income tax altogether.

"That's money that gets spent locally, supporting local high streets across the Eastleigh constituency and family budgets at a time when it's needed most."

The plan was announced at the Liberal Democrats’ Autumn Conference.
