Bring Back our Buses

I welcome the new Prime Minister's recent announcement to restore the single adult fares cap of £2 from January 2027. Meanwhile, Hampshire has benefitted from recent funding for better bus stops and cleaner buses.

Unfortunately, none of this is of much use when bus services themselves have been cut.

Services like the 61 and 46 were axed after Hampshire County Council cut their subsidies, leaving residents isolated and communities detached.

I'm calling for the restoration of these services, and to safeguard all our routes for the future.
