Safe Contacts Policy
Liz and her team recieve thousands of enquiries each year from local residents asking for help with different issues. The overwhelming majority of contacts are appropriate and polite. However, sadly, a few instances of unacceptable or threatening behaviour have occured.
Following the murder of two MPs in recent years, Liz Jarvis and her team will be working within the following Safe Contacts Policy:
- Threats, abuse, harassment, swearing, intimidation, aggression and shouting will not be tolerated.
- Vexatious or spamming communication will recieve a warning. Continuation of this behaviour will result in communication being blocked.
- If your contact with Liz or a member of her team includes any such content, we will end our communication with you and we may report you to the appropriate authorities.
- This policy applies to all forms of contact, including email, social media, phone calls and in-person events and meetings.
We appreciate that you may be contacting Liz about a situation that is causing you great frustration or distress, but it is not appropriate for Liz or her team to be subjected to any form of abusive behaviour.
Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
